Migrants are particularly vulnerable to the health impacts of environmental challenges due to various factors, including socioeconomic disparities, living conditions, and limited access to healthcare. In this section we will see some of the health impacts on migrants resulting from environmental challenges: respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, waterborne illnesses, nutritional deficiencies, maternal health, etc.

The learning outcomes for this section are:
- Understand the concept of environmental challenges and their various forms, including natural disasters, climate change, deforestation, land degradation, and water scarcity.
- Gain knowledge of how environmental challenges can negatively impact the health and can originate displacement and migration.
- Enhance critical thinking skills to analyse the complex relationship between environmental challenges and migration.
Section 2: economic impact on migrants of environmental challenges.
Environmental challenges can have significant economic impacts on migrants, affecting their livelihoods, employment opportunities, and economic well-being. In lessons 1 and 2 are explained some of the economic impacts of environmental challenges on migrants: loss of livelihoods, economic displacement, increased vulnerability to exploitation, loss of assets and investment, increased poverty and food insecurity, disruption of trade and economic activities, impact on remittances.

Environmental challenges have significant social impacts on migrants, affecting their well-being, community cohesion, and social integration. Here are some of the social impacts of environmental challenges on migrants: displacement and loss of community, social stigma and discrimination, education disruption and child protection, community resilience and social capital.
