Section 2: sustainable living
Sustainable living involves making lifestyle choices that minimize one’s environmental impact and support the long-term health of the planet.
It encompasses various aspects of daily life, including energy consumption, transportation, waste management, food choices, and consumer behaviour.
Sustainable living aims to meet present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, often referred to as the principle of “sustainability.”

- Acquire knowledge about sustainable practices and solutions, including renewable energy, waste management, conservation, and responsible consumption.
- Cultivate a sense of responsibility towards the environment and understand the importance of individual and collective actions in promoting sustainability.
Section 3: ways individuals can contribute to environmental awareness and sustainable living.
In this section we will explore ways in which individuals can contribute to Environmental Awareness and Sustainable Living. Specifically, in lesson 1 we will see the principles of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” to minimize waste by reducing consumption, reusing items whenever possible, and recycling materials such as paper, plastic, glass, and metal. In lesson 2 we will go deeper in the concept of eating sustainably by making food choices that prioritize environmental, social, and economic considerations.

The learning outcomes for this section are:
- Develop the ability to make informed decisions and take responsible actions that promote sustainable living in everyday life.
- Recognize the role of environmental stewardship and the need to protect and conserve natural resources for the well-being of all living beings.
- Being able to apply the principles of “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” in the daily life.
